Kitchen Remodel

Our 1960's kitchen is finally getting a facelift!

The gold brick vinyl flooring is history and my talented husband just finished building new kitchen cabinets for our home. Now we are in the process of relocating our food and kitchen-ware to another area of the home.

The trick is to keep the things we use most often where they can be quickly and easily obtained when we need to use them. Fortunately we have a spare room where many of these items can live until the new cabinets are installed and ready to load.

Most people don't have the luxury of having a spare room to use, and must find an area to stage the displaced items. Give this some careful thought before you start the project. If you have small children, you will need to keep sharp and dangerous items out of their reach.

The tough part is surviving a kitchen remodel, marriage intact.

The exciting thing will be organizing the new cabinets and starting fresh!
